French Financial Planning
Following a detailed meeting gathering information and the identification of your needs I will prepare a written report outlining the suitable solutions for your situation. I will cover all aspects of your French financial planning from taxation, investments, pension solutions, estate planning through to help in putting these plans into force. I will review your plans regularly and ensure any changes in your circumstances are reflected in your current arrangements.
Wills
I will have a discussion around your estate planning needs and desires. Where appropriate I will gather the required information to prepare your will in line with EEC legislation and requirements. The testament will subsequently be bound and sent by post for your signature. Full guidance of the process will be given throughout.
Tax Return
I will discuss your tax return requirement and sources of income and wealth. I can help you to prepare your personal tax return for submission to your local tax authorities.
QROPS & Pension Transfers Overseas
I will look at the viability and reasons for making a transfer of UK pensions out of the UK into an HMRC accepted overseas scheme and this includes gathering all the information required. A full report would then be prepared and a suggested solutions given if appropriate. If this is something that were beneficial for you, I would then arrange the transfer of the UK funds to the suggested new scheme put into place.
About Me
Simon Verity, Financial Advisor
After gaining a diploma in Business and Finance, Simon first qualified as a Financial Advisor in the UK in 1991 and has been giving cross border financial advice to British clients in France for the past 20 years. During this period he has built up considerable knowledge of tax-efficient French investments, cross border pension transfers, taxation and inheritance planning. Having lived in Brittany for 12 years Simon is now based in the Vendée region near La Rochelle. In 2018 Simon re-qualified passing the UK Chartered Insurance Institute financial advisers certificate and in addition, passed the CII Mortgage Advice and Equity release exams and thus holds the latest UK financial planning qualifications. Simon also holds the French Insurance Qualification IAS Niveau 1 and the IOBSP Niveau 1 the French Banking qualification.
